Baby boy, be brave,
Be benevolent, behave.
Be unburdened, bare and bold,
But obedient to what you’re told.
Before you begin to be,
Break no bonds with me.
My wee beloved bairn,
Brilliant, beyond compare,
Be humble, but be proud;
Let bounteous blessings abound.
I begat your beginning breath,
But bid you goodbye in death.
I believe we’re bound by love,
Bestowed by Heaven above.
