You were here when the world began, Are you bored with the antics of man? Why do you choose to move so slow? Why do you tease and torture me so? Why must you expedite our death, Continue beyond our last breath? You’re the only healer of pain, I must wait for you once again. Stealing my moments of joy and fun, Speeding by, so my lists are not done. Not once are you convicted of crime, My ever-present foe is TIME. Copyright © 2022 Brandon Ellrich

Time can both be a foe and friend too. Depends on our perspective.

when would you say it’s a friend, Sadje? 🤔

I think when something you’re waiting for arrives quickly

I wonder sometimes if that’s because of time or despite it… (I’ve got a strong cynical streak)

It’s showing. I’m the ever optimist so I’ll probably find something good about most things.

I’ve been dealing with a family issue which requires so much of my time. It’s what I need to be doing right now, but it means the time I have for visiting blogs, for reading, for writing, are all reduced. I dozed off today fighting time and fatigue. Your poem felt right in line with my feelings today.

Ha! Yes, I started writing on Medium and I can see that it’s really taking a lot of time away from WordPress. I haven’t had time to read blogs and stay in touch with other bloggers on here. It’s showing in my stats too. November is steadily declining compared to last month.

It’s exhuasting writing content, reading and keeping up with everything. Sometimes I think maybe I’ll give up the blog and focus on my novels in progress…but I think building readership is also important. All part of it, I suppose.

I think the same things. And at least on Medium, I’m building something where I can earn a little something (hopefully turning into a LOT, haha).

You’ll have to tell me how it goes and perhaps I’ll venture there next year.

Of course! I’ll give you all the tips I know of. It’s going fairly well so far. I gained 100 followers in just a month, so it was a good start. 👍

How well you said it. It’s true, time can be both friend and foe, a for when you least expect it.
