Escape

"Escape" image shows a person standing on a rock off-shore with their arms stretched out horizontally in front of a colorful sunset.
Colors bursting across the sky,
Soul is thirsting to rise and fly,

Into the air, escaping life,
Away from care, worry, strife;

Above the earth, toward the sun,
Full of mirth, reckless fun.

No path to trace from those before,
An open space, my open door.

My spirit sails on endless seas,
A course unveiled to eternity!

  1. That second stanza?? I feel that. It makes me want to venture to some faraway place where no one can find me, where my worries and every dark thing that haunts me stops in its tracks and is flooded in a river of peace; somewhere where silence is only interrupted by the blissful sound of book pages turning and the whimsical slurping of hot tea (or hot chocolate with marshmallows and whipped cream).

    Well done, my friend.
